Title: Hair !
Post by: armando_m on July 23, 2015, 21:20:00
Had fun shooting her, I think her hair is quite unique, she is a cheerleader

Flexible!

#2 has the most live raw power for my taste. Exploding of Energy

The changes in skin color between the images makes it look like three different girls.
Never seen this effect that strong.
All in all very interesting series.

cheers

Thanks for the comments  8)

Andreas, regarding skin colors ... 3 different light sources , auto white balance, and I made no effort to make the skin color  look the same
1. ambient light, overcast sky,  red floor
2. speed light bounced of a white wall, plus crazy processing, b&w layer, analog efex pro
3. studio lights , this one looks the closest to reality

here is 2. without the additional PP, and it is yet another skin tone :)

Terrific. I like the lady, the lighting, the action and spontaneity, everything.

Good stuff Armando. I am still smiling at the images. Frank nailed #2 with the energy comment. On #1, I'd work on the symmetry a bit by matching the right foot-to-edge distance with the left foot-to-edge distance.

Here is an alternative to #1

much more symmetric, both on my framing and her posture, but a touch blurry

I agree about the hair for sure and I particularly like #2. As you say yourself by posting the last image, she doesn't look completely in "balance" in the first shot, but the hair is better on #1. I've seen some very impressive stuff from cheerleading teams but it's something I have never quite become a big fan of.

I like the Crazy #2 without the additional PP.

You cannot beat spontaneous expressions......ever ;)

#2 is better with the warmer skin tones IMO.

The second jump is not the first jump. The necklace has a different position. And the position is unpleasent.

I like the 2nd one the best. The vesion with the heavy pp -looks like alien skin exposure- gets the distraction of the two frames in the image away and works better imho. I think I will like the more natural pp with a little crop up and down. The timing and your conection to get that expression is spot on.

I agree, it's so much nicer when it just comes natually, actually it's a must for the real deal...
