The scene is very similar to the image I posted to "Your Daily Blog" thread two days ago, but the concept, along with the color, is quite different. So, I decided to open a dedicated thread here.

Beautiful tones, really nice processing keeping the the dynamic range in check

Thank you, Armando. I find the Active D-lighting set to "auto" does a really nice job in such a difficult lighting condition!

Akira, is it your day job?
The clouds and colors, again, make the image so pleasing ot the eye!

Very nicely balanced exposure! Great image ;)

Jakov, no, the title is atmospheric. :) Thank you, anyway!

I like it Akira. I thought it did not really evoke Japan to me until saw the men bending in front of the car...

Thank you, Olivier. I shot several frames of the scene, and that was the very reason for my choice of this one...

Very nice image! I like the way the light under the gas station awning makes an island, and how it matches the brightness of the sky. Also how the sky's reflection colours the roofs in the foreground.
Cheers, John

John, I'm glad you enjoyed the image to the details. :)

Based on one of your previous mentions of ADL, I started using it in my bird photography. I think its use has resulted in a substantial improvement in the quality of my photographs and I appreciate the suggestion. I now leave it set to “auto” for all my bif images. Thanks!

Glad to be of any help. I realized it usability just recently after I had returned to D750 a couple of month ago. Now I leave it on, too, except when I do panos for which I have to switch off all automatic functions.
