I am so glad that your story had a happy ending but that must have been a painful ordeal for that unfortunate eagle.
You also got a great series of the young eaglets.
I notice that you had a TC on your 600 mm so I am guessing that this nest is very high up in the tree.

As I thought! Eagles love heights.
There is nothing wrong with cropping — especially when someone is using top-grade equipment and knows how to use it!
(The detail in the inset close-up demonstrates that very clearly.)
