Interesting read  ;)  I see some nice thorlabs parts, makes me envious. The use of the 66mm rails is a nice touch, I should have done that for my vertical setup.

Well, I started doing that about 10 years ago especially for UV lenses.
I see that Rofer and his team fell into the same pit(s) I had to overcome.
I wrote them...
