We get temperature inversions here quite regularly and there is one viewpoint which I can almost reach by car; a 20min drive followed by a 10min scramble up a steep hillside.
These were were shot from there yesterday, 29th March.
1. Ben Lui (40kms distant)
2. Ben Lui and the Glen Dochart hills, shot wide.
3. Same scene, longer lens. Not sure which I prefer.
4. The Ben Lawers group.
5. Ben More (right) and Stobinian
Later. Sorry - I got 2. and 3. mixed up. #2 is the longer lens, #3 is the wide
-
Number 3, seems wide, I like the multitude of colours, going from brown in the foreground to green and white, but as alway, beautiful pictures.

Dave:
#4 for me. Well captured in every case. Rugged landscape.
Cheers

The big country...

Worth the drive!!
Beautiful captures
-
Thank you, Armando, Ron and Doug - very much appreciated.

I enjoy the dynamic movement of the mist captured in #2. Yes, the outing was definitely worthwhile!
-
Thanks, Akira. #2 and #3 are my own favourites.
-
I'm with you and Akira, #2 for me. All are very nice and i'd love to have such a "backyard". But, alas, we can enjoy yours ;D
-
Great series. #3 is my favo as the 'cloud-waves' are clearly visible.
-
Thank you, Hans and John.
-
All of them are lovely but the fact that there are several separate troughs of cloud across the image, in numbers two and three, makes them even more interesting.
-
Thank you, Ann. We mostly seem to agree that #2 and #3 work best; time now to make a couple of prints, I think.
