Hi Nikongear members, my first photos with this lens , get used with lens of up to 200mm its not easy to handle the beast.
Everything is different usability, weight, bokeh, sometimes you shoot something not seen clearly with naked eye
I get some photos in a local park with my D7200 handheld
Among the known birds there is an unknown to me in the last photo I would like to know if you may recognize it
Thank you for watching

The last one is maybe a mandarin duck, the colors are a bit off, but the “whiskers”, is very similar.
Nice pictures by the way ;)

Well I am selling my Tamron G1 150-600..never happy with it at 600mm after 400mm it goes a bit soft so have bought a Nikon 200-500 for only £800 new delivered . I used it with the D7100. Also bought a Tamron 100-400 with the tap in for the wife as its lighter (£465) and will be using the two next week on some birds in the Somme estuary in France.
Will let you know

Pistnbroke let me know, its good to see photos from 100-400, by the way yes in 600mm there is some image degradation but overall the lens is very good for the money ;), dont forget that if you use FF you will have better image overall
Bent thank for your kind words, yes its look like mandarin duck -as I can see from the net - and I see the wings in a funny way are over hang when it swims
I post some more photos, finally I see it very positive
thank you
