The these two butterflies were taken today at our local butterfly conservatory. It runs for two months, with a variety of species throughout that time. Can be very crowded, with no tripods allowed, so always a bit of a challenge.
D500 70-180 at f/10. 105mm 1/250 se, ISO 800 handheld
In the first image I liked the white trim on the leaf, which plays well with his white markings. Very harmonious.
The second one is a riot of color to my eyes. I generally like the simpler images, but nature can be pretty colorful at times, so two sides of nature here.
Advice and comments always appreciated.
Cheers

the first image in particular is extremely well executed - and I also prefer the simplicity

Thanks Elsa. #1 is my personal preference also, but good to change things up sometimes!

Wonderful shot!

Another vote for #1, though #2 is not inferior!

#1 looks under fed. I'll choose #2.

BOTH are excellent shots!
No tripod required obviously.

Thanks for the additional comments! I have a few more to follow. It was a fun day, enjoyed trying to vary the shots and settings more than usual, to expand my vision, so to speak.
