Title: US 101 Oregon
Post by: Mikes on January 22, 2018, 15:04:03
My wife and I drove from Portland to San Francisco via US 101 along the Oregon coast just last month - wild, but beautiful scenery.

Some images from Port Orford, just before the regular coastal fog closed in....

Wild, but beautiful scenery indeed.  Thanks for sharing these - the scenery makes me most envious in respect of your trip.

Beautiful coast , so different to what I'm use to with warm weather and palm trees :)

Mike, you are ubiquitous!  I enjoy dynamic landscapes here.

These shots induce a longing to be there in me. So for my feel these shots are very good, emotionally appealing shots, esp. No 2

Thanks, Hugh. Yes, wild and very foggy. Driving can be tricky late afternoons.

Thanks, Armando. For me, too. Coming from a country of bright, sunny beaches, the surf here does not look so inviting to me.

Thanks, Frank. No 2 is my fav. Almost got drenched getting it though.

Thanks, Akira. The dramatic coast does seem to be shaped by violent weather conditions. The following image is from The Oregonian last week.

Are there more people above and to the right of the lone person, behind a fence?  My eyes aren't what they were...

Henri Cartier-Bresson may faint to see the second image in the liked website...
