Title: Females can fly well too!

This mallard hen was captured yesterday, at same venue as the male posted yesterday.   She was coming in close under power, flaring for a landing.

D500 Sigma 150-600mm Sport  600mm  f/7.1 1/3200s  hand held

Advice and comments always appreciated

Randy - nice captures of both the male and female mallards.

Dad had a number of these on his farm when I was a kid and I never tired watching them come and go.  Don't underestimate just how protective the femailes are of their eggs and of their young.
