I have set up a wooden prop on my back deck to attract and photograph Stella Jays and this beautiful Northern flicker stopped by.
Comments and critique are welcomed.

I agree - beautiful bird! Very nicely photographed with light and detail where you want it and nothing distracting in the background. On my screen the bird seems just a shade dark - maybe it could be lightened by (say) 1/3 stop? On the other hand, the composition is helped by the placement of the bird's head against the lighter patch in the background.
