Title: Need for help to repair a Nikkor TC20-E III
Post by: MFloyd on October 14, 2017, 14:39:30
I found this morning the locking notch out of his recess and I don't see how to fix it; as nothing seems broken; I can put it back, but it doesn't hold. If somebody could help me.  :)

looks like that thing slides o it's own slot  :o :o :o
don't take my word for this since I haven't opened one yet but it looks like you can remove the bayonet mount and reinstall it back.  ::)
it may come off again in the future...

Thank you Richard. But I don’t see any slot. Wondering if the conical prong has to be forced into the slider. Or glued ?..

it is possible but I cannot believe what i am seeing here  :o :o :o
it's too flimsy ::)

I do not have that thing in front of me but if you figure that this thing is just glued in-place then use a non-fogging adhesive. skip super glue

Just some feedback. Last Monday, my TC was returned; repair free of charge and 2 years additional guarantee. No explanations given. Verified the TC: everything seems OK.
