Title: Carnival
Post by: Rick Waldroup on August 16, 2017, 01:50:58
Carnival - Fort Worth, Texas - May 5, 2007

For those interested, it was shot with a Nikon D1x.  Not sure about the lens.

Rick,
The decisive moment springs to mind   ....I keep going back to look at the image as I type, it really is a visual workout. Fabulous!

Cheers

Rick, this would fall under sport photography :)
Wonderful timing and framing.
It just goes to show that if you know what you are doing, you can achieve it even with a D1x.

Thanks for the comments, Bez and Jakov.

I shot a D1x and D2H combo for years.  They were superb cameras back in the day.... 8)

Nice one, I hope he made a soft landing.

Thanks, Ron.   Yes, just below the frame was a balloon-type contraption that he fell into.

Great shot and timing Rick.   At first glance I thought it were two different images;   nice split of the image.

Wonderfully weird separation of two worlds in a single frame!

Very nicely captured at just the right moment and framing makes it even better!

I loved my D1Xs,,,,

Thanks for all of the comments.

I think I am enjoying my relatively new Nikon Df so much because it reminds me of shooting with my D1x and D2H several years ago.
