Taken a number of years ago at a recycling depot tank farm in the Portlands at the foot of Toronto close to Lake Ontario.
The Portlands is an interesting area that my photobuds and I prowl from time to time looking for eclectic subject matter.
On one bright, sunny f16 day I noticed the interesting shadows cast by the spiral staircase on the side of a large storage tank, and liking the composition, took this photo.
motorized Nikon FE-2
Nikkor 180 2.8 ED AIS manual focus
Ektachrome 100 ISO colour slide
f16 @ 1/125th

Impressive impact. All those lines makes for a very interesting trip through the image. The repetition of big and small elements works very very well. Also in tune with your choice of keeping the blue, it makes something extra to an already captivating visual.
Film you say?
