Nice series. From top to bottom (in your sequence), there is a progession from muted to vivid to saturated colors, which is sure intentional, but the "chemical" feel to the last one disturbs me.

I don't know why, but I imagined Magritte immediately after I had seen the last one.

And Odilon Redon with the first one.

Beautiful work Andrea. I have a strong preference for the first one. It clicks all the right notes.

And Odilon Redon with the first one.

That makes sense, too...

Thank you everyone for stopping by and for the comments. I'm enjoying the references to artists.

Airy:  I do agree that the 3rd photo is a bit jarring in comparison to the other two both in style and in colour! I would have omitted it from any portfolio presentation involving the first two. It does not fit.
These were all multiple exposures*. Taken straight from the camera they are a bit bland and do need some definition and a bit of increased saturation. What worked well for the first two clearly did not work as nicely for the last one. I liked the "idea" in the 3rd photo, but will probably re-work it so it is not so jangling.

I like them all, but #3 speaks to me.

Thank you, Lars and John.

Johm, I've always been fascinated that the upper tree canopy has its own "sub-ecology". It would be so interesting to be able to walk along a path through it. The stairs will get us up there.  ;)

Andrea, I really like the Little Fishes.  Love the colours and enough to f1nd in the image to hold my interest  :) . Seaweed is less is more obvious.  The 3rd is just a bit busy for me.  Thanks for posting and your experimenting.

For me the fish image, makes me wonder what I'm looking at, fish fossils? or trapped in amber? it would make a great print

For me the fish image, . . . . . . it would make a great print

+1, and I agree with most of the opinions already spoken. Love #1, like #2. not quite sure about #3. But thanks for letting us see these.

Thank you, Tom, Armando and Dave.

Armando, I should try printing Little Fishies. I'm so very lazy about getting anything printed!!

Added later:  Perhaps I should have displayed Stairway to the Trees separately from the other two. Or maybe softened it a bit.
