Would love to get my hands on this beauty ;D
Too expensive though, seller asking for $5000. :'(

$5,000.00? I guess my garden variety 150/5.6 EL Nikkor will have to do.

I have the El Nikkor 105mm APO and the El Nikkor 210 APO, but not the 300. How is it for taking images. Must be very heavy.

Not sure, would have to travel overseas to give it a try.
There's also a massive 480mm one too :o

Had them all, but the 480mm. 300mm is rather heavy (1860grams), not easy to use, sold it (as well as the 210mm,
only kept the 105mm). $5.000 is a good price actually, seen it for double, but years ago when prices were higher.

Are you sure there is a 480mm? Only 12 have ever been made of the 480. I hope the source
is not what I fear it is, as "Keller" is a scummer. I was after them for many years, guess I know
the "scene", still.
Btw. here is the Nikon brochure about the Apo EL-Nikkors - the one you show is old type:
Old type one:

New type one:

Nice brochures! Beautiful!
Yeah and there is a 480mm, to clarify, I didn't mean that the seller also has one.
