The prototype 16mm camera is indeed a thing of beauty. It is very sad that it was not commercialised.

The 16mm film camera looks like one of Mamiya 16's, and the 6x7 reminds me of Pentacon six.
I may want to visit the museum!

Nikon made medium format lenses for Bronica S 6x6 cameras during the 1960s - 80s. However, the medium format lenses shown above don't show any resemblance to the Bronica series.

Where is the prototype of the D700 replacement? I'm looking for a smaller, lighter camera with HP engine from the D5. Something like a Buick Special with the engine from the Buick Roadmaster. If General Motors could do it why not Nikon?
