Bob:
Impressive image quality for that ISO. Great stare, like the way he is holding onto the branch with his feet covered (looks cold).
What type of post processing for noise was needed, if any.
From a comp standpont, I would consider moving him a sliver to the right in the frame, if you have the canvas.
Cheers
Randy

no noise reduction at all on the bird or branch, in fact there is some octave sharpening.... the background has had some work.
good point on the positioning.. but no more canvas to the right.

GGO fits the description.
I would not feel comfortable staring at it from close range!
-
Stunning image as always. I like the way the colors and the patterns of the GGO and the branches match.

then you may like this image... the owl flew to this tree and went to sleep about 50 ft up.. if i hadn't watched it fly there i would have never found it..

Oh, yeah! This is the camouflage in the true sense of the word! Thanks!
-
Bob, that's an impressive owl portrait, but the numbers are out of the park.

Incredible result!
