Maui, Jamuary, 2017. The young lady is a college senior and bound for grad school. I spoke to her and her mom before shooting this.

Fabulous look to this. Photographers often pay money to assistants and rental equipment to get this nice lighting on location. The somewhat desaturated look of the sky makes me wonder if a Pola filter was used?

No filters used, I don't own any except for UV and I stopped using them years ago. I probably could have made the sky look different, but did not think of it at the time. I use post processing to get this look. She was a little back lit. It would be great to have an assistant holding a reflector, but it kills the moment. Thank you everyone.

Due to Pluton's sharp eyes, I have updated the image to make for a more natural looking sky.
