Dave is a feral moggie that roams the local gardens, and does not like human contact!
-
i may be wrong, but to me Dave looks like a (male) Maine Coon that might have lost its home at a certain point.
-
Good cat portrait. I like the way he sits, and how he has placed his feet. And I also like Dave's attitude :)
I would have removed the branch upper left.

Terje, you may well be right, I have friends who have two Maine Coons and yes there is a certain resemblance! but I reckon he is taking a very arrogant stance tinged with a bit of uncertainty.
Bjorn I never noticed the twig!
Thanks for commenting chaps.

I like hear. I had such a long hair tiger called "Bilbo" long ago.

Did a few tweaks!

I like Dave, he's very much like me. I also meander through gardens and minimize all human intercourse. I enjoy the image, but my eyes are distracted to the very bright background. I suggest taking some of the top and a bit of darkening of the background.
If Dave was in my neighborhood I think I would share my coffee with him every morning.
... I'm still viewing the image, thank you for sharing.
... He could use a bit of grooming as his fur has evidence of his travels.

What a cat! Great catch.

Beautiful cat Mike. And a nice pose too.
It looks to me like you focussed on the body and the face is not as sharp as the body
-
Gary there is not much chance of grooming him because as soon as any human comes within ten feet he's off like a rocket, in the winter he's much more scruffy, cos its cold. He always seems to have a snooze in my long grass in the afternoon, until I disturb him, unintentionally!
One of my neighbours christened his Dave, I have no idea why, but she likes cats!
Elsa this is a crop from a larger frame and was a snap shot and I didn't have the time to focus properly, I'm afraid that is my only excuse and I sticking to it. It is a good pose so I may get another chance.
I once found him sitting on my back doorstep eating a still living pigeon, So I put the bird down, yuk. It's a wonder that one of the local foxes has not taken him out yet, obviously he's quite street smart!

Nice one Mike.
