Beinn Ghlas, due north of our house, this morning, in a rare moment of sunshine.

if you cut the top Dave-style you can pretend it is the Dhaulagiri ;)

The wide crop reinforces very much the feel of power and what a light!

I wish I had thought of that!  ;)  The light was very beautiful, though I had to wait 30 minutes or so to get something really good. But "all the way to heaven is heaven" (Jeanne d' Arc), and just waiting on such a fine morning was a pleasure.

Thomas - thanks for looking; du bist ein Schmeichler aber ich danke sehr.

Dave:

Certainly worth the wait! The pano crop works great with this image.

Cheers

Beautiful!
You don't need to go to the Himalaya's to get fantastic pics. :D

A real fantasy.  The "S" shape line along the ridge gives a pleasant dynamism to the image.
