found this great dual charger for less than $10 USB powered so use in anywhere /in the car/ on holiday .So much better than the standard one which you cannot stack and has the slow flashing light ...Also similar for EN EL 14 and sony. Just poke ebay

Cheap is not synonymous with 'good' or 'better than original' ...
My experiences with third-party or non-matching chargers are mixed and most are bad. Minor updates in Nikon battery technology (typically signified by an 'a' suffix to the battery type) may require a new original charger (MH-25 > MH-25a in case of the D500 batteries) in order for charging to be optimal. Same with using the EN-EL4a in combination with the D2H/D2x chargers; they don't do the newer batteries full service and the charger for D3/d3S is required.

True ..you also have the logic that they are crude chargers ..ie apply 8.4v to the two pins they have not the 5 pins on the Nikon unit...Charging the two cells in series to 8,4v and signalling charged when current drops, Not sure if Nikon charger is charging them individually or if the 5 pins are for battery life recognition ie two cells out of balance .
Seems to be well made however .

The Nikon charger serialises charging, so each battery is done individually.
