Title: Well, 2016 was different
Post by: stenrasmussen on January 06, 2017, 20:28:12
to me at least. And this image kind of reflects this.
(I took a redundancy package in April. Got 9 months full pay which I happily spent on our house and garden. A tough job market but I managed to land 3 jobs before the end of the year and my decision fell on an italian company. Not to bad a choice I reckon as I've never been to the land of Caesar and Milano is where I will be traveling to on occasion).

Milano, Italy, wow.
I believe that Italy is one the most beautiful countries in the world.
The history, the food, the wine, the weather, the variety of landscapes... not so many countries in the world that can compete with Italy.
Italians are probably not going to recommend Milano as a place to visit having in mind Florence or Venice or Rome, but I love it.
The vicinity of Monza, Bergamo and Lago di Como make it one of my favorite places for long weekends. :)
Congratulations on your new job!

The photo is stunning!

Nice, gloomy atmosphere, which reflect the future of oil and gas related jobs. Unfortunately too late to do something about the effect of burning fossile fuels. Let´s hope the future bring some solution to our ignorance. Anyway, congratulation with the new job :)

Thanks guys  :)
As for the debate on oil and gas: without these natural products we wouldn't have the Tesla, Leaf, e-this&that, paint, mattresses, decent roads, cameras, boats, ships, clothing, shoes, toothbrushes, memory cards, computers, cables, power stations, heat pumps, medicine, foods, etc. The matter is to make sure we don't pollute which is a technical matter.

Sten, congrats on your new job!  The image looks fantastic except for the message on the spherical object.  Terminator inside?!   :o

Awesome! They put the moon down in the city park. Someone younger expressed his appreciation right away 🐲

I agree.  Also some more basic stuff because it is -6C outside and the natural gas furnace in my house is keeping me from freezing to death.

Wishing you all the best with this new venture. I will let you know when I am in town to join up for a coffee. Might not be right now - say around 2025 or something  ;D

Congrats on the new job, and quite a different shot , nice too.

Right around the same time in 2016 I was on the redundancy list for about 3 months, while most of my former team left, in the end I stayed in a new position.
