From a recent trip, my first pictures posted here.

While all are good, the first one has a particular intimacy about that is very appealing. I'm sure some members would like to learn a little more about the gear used as well.

Thanks Bjørn,
the pictures were all taken with my actual "travel mate", when I am not traveling for pleasure and when I am restricted on carry on weight issues. So the camera is the Oly E-M1 and the lens is the Oly 12-40,2.8 pro. The only thing, which drives me crazy with that camera, is the concept of menu and buttons.

#1 is also my favorite. I dunno why, but I feel a sense of quiet a stillness when I view #1. I have shot extensively with the Oly EM5 and EM1 and I hear you. In order to maximize the camera's ability for customization, Oly has eliminated minimal/simple interfacing with the menu settings.

Could it be so simple that with #1 we are forced "into the subject" as it were, whilst in the remainder, we just are spectators at a distance?

Is that Greece or Italy????

Delphi.

Anthony & Werner: Great Timing ;-)

#1 is a clear favorite for me but the last one is quite nice as well due to the colors made from the partly cloudy weather.

agreed on n.1. I am quite sure the gods now reside in the white clouds seen in the middle of the frame.
