Another picture from the corner of Royal and St. Peter Streets in the French Quarter District of New Orleans.
As I watched for opportunities to get interesting shots of the two street musicians, I noticed their child looking at me while her mother swayed and played, and I grabbed this shot.
Converted to black and white in Photoshop

Very nice image, wish the crop wasn't so tight, but sometimes one just have to take the shot

I did a tight crop to eliminate a lot of distracting elements that added nothing to the shot.

Robert, I like this version better for its greater intimacy (and for the curious gaze of the child). B&W and the dark tones work well here.

The black and white treatment and tight crop eliminated a number of problems and vastly simplified the composition.
