Highly recommended! 8)

I'd prefer a 13mm f/5.6.
-
What is a trifling $ 65K these days?
Well, as usual, a lot. Still a very nice lens, though.
-
Prefer what you like ;D I want to know who is going to buy this one!

A young rich man, of course! ;D

What are the usual second hand prices for this lens? ;-)
I think i may wait a little until the prices come down ^^
-
There is no "usual" price, this is not a "usual" lens!
You would think there might be a market for a modern version of this lens. Optics have come a long way since 1972 - with aspherics, ED glass and modern coatings it should be possible to build a new 220° fisheye which is much smaller and better ...

I was just kidding
And yes it should be possible, but I doubt if we will see that in the near to mid-term future. Nikon currently appears to have other problems than to focus on feasibility studies of that extreme kind.

I expect you are right, but it is worth noting the new 19mm PC-E lens is also extreme ... :o
-
Price seems OK compared to the one I rented for Scotland, it was sold for 50.000€ - It was an Ai, nice glass but needed an internal cleaning of the glass,,,

2.8/6mm 220 degrees is on ebay for sale now (UK seller) :-)
--> Eric??
-
No thanks ;)
-
It is on auction now, bidding at just $3.300 currently. May end up a bargain...
(and no, I'm not bidding...LOL)
