Hello, folks. My name is Akira Sakamoto, seemingly an only Japanese member of Fotozones, the original Nikongear and FilmLives (lol, do you remember that?).
I bought my first DSLR ever (Nikon D2H) after I had found Bjørn Rørslett's legendary website. So, he is responsible. ;D
Great to see familiar faces gathering here again!

Good to see you around. I appoint you to be unofficially responsible for getting some more Japanese members ;)

Hi Akira!
Nice to see you too here, this is starting to look like an old family reunion!.. Which I have to say is what I've been looking forward to a whole lot!! Really nice to see all old NG members here!
We'll speak more later, Akira. For now, glad to see you here, and have a good day! :-)

Akira. Word of mouth is spreading fast.
I also knew Bjørn before I knew Nikongear. He helped me to find a part of a lens that I could not get anywhere else. And of course I loved his mouth watering site for gear from the wasp colored brand

Akira - nice to see you. Yes we need more Japanese - If I want to travel to Japan - I need many of you there!

Hi, Jørgen, Patrick, Frank and Elsa,
Thanks for your replies and kind comments! Indeed it is nice to get together again with you all!
I have some friends who like photography, but I need to find someone who can be as nerdy in English as I am. :P Please be patient for a while!

Hi Akira. Good to see you here, too.

Akira-san so pleased to see you here as well.

Hi, Mike and Bjørn,
thanks for your replies. Glad to share this fertile playground with you here!

Hi Akira, Filmlives! Oh, my!
One of the other sites shows you as a member and a guest. I should check your Flickr page. Are you still shooting in UV?

Hi, Vivek, Fotozones and the group called FilmLives (!) in Flickr are the only sites I visit.
Unfortunately I haven't shoot in UV since I parted with my beloved D40, but do shoot UV fluorescent images on and off.
Anyway, glad to get together with you again!
