Since being married, my wife and I have embraced the traditions of her family for Christmas time.
Today was "going to get the tree" day.
Took the Df and the Nikon 35-70/2.8D. I recently got this lens as a replacement for my much loved 28-85/3.5-4.5. It was almost the same size as that lens and even at its age, has a very usable f/2.8 aperture.

Nice.
My wife brought a pine tradition along as well while my family had fir trees for the purpose.
Nowaday we ocasionally cut the tree ourselfs, which makes it more an event.
