. . . "veteran" - how cruel can they get? :'( ;D ;D
-
whahaha - omg I SO BADLY want to congratulate you - but I am too busy laughing out loud.
-
Long in the trade doesn't entail long in the tooth, Dave :D
-
Nice one 8) ;D
-
I am proud of your veteran photography :)
-
If it is any consolation a few years ago I was invited to a "veterans" football match.
The minimum age to qualify was 35.
-
:D
Better such an headline than no headline at all ;)
-
Thank you all for your consolations . . . just a mo' . . . I'll push my zimmer-frame a little closer to the keyboard . . . my poor old arms can't reach so far . . . ;D
-
Apparently the needs to learn to use the words in a more appropriate way is universal. :D
This is one of the most fitting post for this aptly named section in NG!
I cannot congratulate more, Dave!
-
Well, you are probably so old that you can remember the days when cameras had something called film in them ;D
-
David, they could have been more cruel if they had described you as a "Vintage Photographer"! LOL ;D
More seriously though, you certainly deserve the more positive accolades that they made in respect of your work. I am certainly pleased to have seen your many posts here on NG.

Sure wish I could be there to see your show!
Just think of "veteran" as "wise & experienced". That's not so bad! ;D
-
Congratulations on the press coverage David.
-
Congratulation, about the news, perhaps the reporter was a teenager?
-
Very well done Dave, hopefully sales will be even better now!
And don't forget you never feel as old as you actually are, rock on my friend!
-
Congratulations Dave! :D
-
Congratulations, David.

Thanks again for all your encouragement. What a great place NG is.

Sten - I'll give you a real laugh - the first "large-format" camera I bought was a quarter-plate* Kodak folding bellows camera. It was of some antiquity and admittedly I bought it in a junk-shop (for £2.00, in 1967); it came complete with a box of (I think) 24 glass-plate negatives. I shot and developed them all - still have them somewhere, and actually did part of the work of my first paid job - a record-sleeve - using that camera and a couple of those glass negs.
* quarter-plate - 4.25 x 3.25 inches; 11 x 8cm

Huge congratulations Dave !
But ... veteran photography ... is that something like senior photography 8) 8)
