Title: Hello from Florida
Post by: Dalek on October 28, 2016, 20:23:06
Just received notice that Ngear was back online. Nice. I am the guy with too many lenses and cameras and not enough time to use them. However, I really like reading the posts of fellow shooters. Thank you for your ideas, Dale

Yes, welcome!

You problem is VERY common to us here: To much gear, not enough time. But I feel the forum motivates me to take more shots & better shots.

Hi! Dale,

My problem is not enough gear and definitely not enough time.

Welcome!

Dave Hartman

I was in Fort Lauderdale, FL back in 1989. When I got in a salamander greeted me at the front door of my great uncle's house. I set my bags down, a flight from LAX, and laid down on a cot in the Florida Room. I turned on the radio behind me and the man on the news said a thirteen year old boy was bitten by an alligator. You know I didn't make this up as a California boy would have been greeted by a horny toad and the thirteen year old boy would have been bitten by a Mojave Green.

[OK, the truth is I'd have to drive about 25 miles (40km) to be in Mojave green habitat. Around here we have Pacific rattlers but Mojave green sounded cool so that's what I typed. They do airlift bite victims from the high desert to a hospital here in the valley.]

Hi Dalek
Welcome, I am pondering how much a miss a visit to Florida in Winter. Would love to see a image or two.
