Peter, Hans and I gathered tonight for dinner in Scheveningen.
The weather was nice, so I suggested that we meet at the beach instead of in Leiden, or in The Hague.
It goes without saying that we had a great time, shared some laughs and experiences, and of course we made some photos :)
-
Great effect, Jakov. Good to hear you had a great time. We can expect more results?
-
More results?
Of course!
I am curious to see what Peter and Hans made too :)
Here are another two with D750 and 135DC.
I must say that there is very little difference if any when I compare the high ISO results between Df and D750.
Here are the final two:
Before and after sunset.

I can't post any pics before tomorrow. I only have my work laptop here and no means to download files from the card.
Beautiful pics Jakov, of course we already knew what was coming, but even so i'm surprised to see them bigger. They look nice and the effect in the 1st of your second post is marvelous.
-
wonderful, Jakov!
-
Second capture is magnificent! Lovely mood ;)

Interesting. When I sit down at the computer I am finding the same thing. I normally, as a matter of course, grab the Df with 58 1.4G mounted for evenings out but I am often out shooting birds into the early evening with the D750.
By the bye, I really like the images, sort of wistful and surrealistic
Many thanks ,
Tom

Wonderful renderings Jakov. I'm also enjoying the d750 high ISO capabilities.
Your choices focus and pp are inspiring, again. Thanks!
-
Thank you all (Hans, Frank, Erik, Tommie, Paco) for your lovely comments!

Before and after sunset.
Inspiring, very inspiring. Love what you see Jakov!

jakov, it was wonderful to meet with you and Hans last night. The weather, the beer, the company was wonderful.
And you managed to get me addicted to unsharpness! It is really cool to do. And difficult.
I hardly dare to post photos in that field because I am nowhere near your level of expertise. But I am going to practice!
Let me start by including a photo that you took with my camera to show me how to use the 135mm DC for these type of shooting. The beauty of your capture may have corrupted by my postprocessing

And some photos I took with the 58mm lens and the D750. I do have a long way to go (Jakov's are art, mine are just unsharp):

the table was not ours. ;-)

Sweet meetup :)
-
Wonderful pictures from all of you - thanks for sharing.
And glad to hear that you had some jars of beer.
Leiden is very famous for a jar of a different kind to that used for beer or the one in your lovely last image: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leyden_jar

Leiden is very nice indeed. It is my city of birth so I can't day otherwise. Our gathering was in Scheveningen. They have nice bars there as well. ;-)
-
Great stuff, Peter.
#2.1 is super, Jakov.
-
OK, time to add some of my pics while meeting in Scheveningen, having some drinks, getting a bite to eat and generally catching up.
I'm not sure you could guess where exactly in Scheveningen we went and which type of photos we tried to take/make 8)
-
Of course, when Jakov isn't paying attention, it's still possible to shoot some(what) sharp pictures ;D ;D ;D
-
Jakov was so nice to allow me to try his 135 DC, so managed to give him the alien eye :o
