The white king trapped itself in the corner after a few more moves, shortening a painful death.

Please however consider that the sitting player would take opponents in a row, in quick play, for hours... fun to watch. Ten years ago there were two tables. Now, just one...

I reckon there are five white pieces on the board and white is big trouble. Black is about to queen a pawn!
