Outstanding series Elsa !
-
thats the problem with trying ;D
-
Elsa .. knowing you for all your great studio work I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I read the subject headline ;)
Great capture and an unusual BIF shot!
-
Great photos, now you have to chop off the palm tree...... :-)
-
thanks guys :)
Lars - WHAT were you thinking!!! ;D
Fanie - thats someone else's palm tree! I often shoot against it so I don't shoot into the sun. But the sun isn't always that side - I just got used to shooting with it as a back drop. I will re-think that part - thanks for the comment, I seriously didn't think that far. I have one of my own that's in my way when shooting - on the other hand I can hide from the sun under the palm leaves.

Stunning series Elsa.
-
I happen to enjoy the oof palm, makes an attractive and interesting background that compliments the coloring of the birds without distracting.
-
Thank you Peter and Tristin !
-
Great stuff, Elsa!
-
Elsa, you proved your fascinating reflex nerve yet again!
-
Thank you boyz :)
-
I find the background too distracting but the foreground is awesome.
-
Magnificent series, Elsa !
-
Thanks Aguinaldo for your honest opinion. Much appreciated :)
This is why I post - I learn.
Thank you Rosko !
-
Very nice shots, and I like the palm tree out of focus appearance in the back ground a lot, makes the images stand out
-
Thank you Erik
I am perfectly happy that there are 2 schools of thought on the palm leaves. I got so hung up on having that in the background - that I forgot there could be another way of doing it. While it doesnt bother me too much either - the comments have made me think a bit wider. I appreciate that you took time to look and comment
Now come visit Cape Town and you can see the for yourself :)
-
Thanks for the invite ;) Living this far north one surly wish for sunny skies - Maybe NG 2017 workshop
-
2017 sounds pretty good to me too :)
-
Great shots, Elsa.
The bokeh, which is difficult to control in sudden 'action shots', I think, gives extra depth as well.
-
Thank you John :)
