Title: Games of Thrones
Post by: Almass on August 12, 2016, 17:23:33
Games of Thrones

I just like to mention Helen Sloan.

Helen is the official stills photographer for Games of Thrones.
She shoots with a D3 -  D3s + (Blimp) - D800 and a DF. Her main lenses are the 24/70 and the 85 + 50 and 14/24.

Helen Sloan was named Nikon Ambassador in June 2016.

Thanks for the link, as that was an interesting story (sure would have liked an F3 as a gift) !

Interesting read. I wondered what the:  "my first decent NIKKOR – it was the 50mm f/4" was,    but that's probably a typo     ;)

Almass, thanks for the link to the interesting article.

A blimp containing D3 and 24-70 zoom should weigh tons!

Helen uses the Jacobson Sound Blimp= 1.4kg. I am not sure if she also has an Aquatech Sound Blimp as well.

So yes, a D3 + 24/70 + Blimp and tube is quite a heavy set up
