Title: Texture
Post by: David Paterson on August 11, 2016, 19:20:52
A prolonged period of damp, cloudy weather has got me looking inwards and downwards, instead of up at the mountains and skies which I love. But I love this other thing, too.

Regardless of the weather, you make nice images! :)

Thanks, Jakov. I really enjoy your risk-taking, experimental? pushing-the-limits kind of work and I quite often try to do things in that style. But it almost never works for me, and I always come back to my usual documentary style.   :-\

Dave, I'm always attracted to your leaves-and-grasses images.  Simple but not really simple.  #1 and 4 are the examples here.  The last post is the same one as #1?

Really nice series Dave.  No.4 (ferns and leaves) is very special for me.

I love the first one in the series. The structural contrast
creates a vibrating tension.

Thanks, Akira - your observations are always very accurate. (When I looked at the thread when only Jakov had commented, image #1 was missing, so I re-posted it. Then - of course - it re-appeared.)

Thanks also to Frank and Hugh for your kind comments.
