Nice and sharp pics of a beautiful bird.
We are very lucky to have AF technology and awesome glasses to get these pictures. 30 years ago they were not possible.
I wonder why these eagles are called bald. Because of the white head? The dark head one would not be bald? lol

Dark ones are juveniles. They get white (tail and head) as they mature.

Exceptional images and a joy to see the eagles.
The term " Bald " possibly comes from the term Piebald referring to a black and white colour contrast in a animals coat.
Skewbald refers to brown and white.
