This was his favorite place on the Dow, Zanzibar.

Converted using Silver FX Pro 2.

Excellent shot. And great conversion. Glad you got to use your camera on this trip.

A peaceful image, Fanie.  It should reflect your state of mind.

I like the gesture of the shot and the B&W...but there seems to be a bit of a halo around the people.  Not sure if that is from the direction of the sun or from some shadow recovery in post.

Fanie,
Excellent photo.
Well seen, and beautifully composed.

Thank you for pointing it out Andrew, I went back and had a look at what I have done, and it seems that using U-points in Nik to dramatise the sky made this halo, which is a bit distracting.

Attached is an earlier version I did with less editing in the sky, and where the halo is much less.

I would appreciate a comment on the this one as well, although a bit more bland, the halo is much reduced.

Fanie, I prefer the first, halos and all.  Nik control points are tough to get just right.

Awesome shot

editing ... so many alternatives :)

u-points are indeed hard to control , I combine the plus and the negatives, varying the size to get the effect where I want it , and still sometimes gets side effects I do not like

lately I will do an extreme edit and more bland one and combine them as layers in PS , and then deal with masking :)

I do like the image

Great shot Fanie. I really like how you framed.
