[Link] 15 Nature photographers cooperate to show: Germany
https://www.instagram.com/germanroamers/
I am quite impressed. I knew there are some nice places in our country, but this is more than even I expected...
-
I'm speechless. Thanks for sharing, Frank.

Thanks for sharing. :)

Mongo is impressed with most of the image quality. He is also impressed that there can be "co-operation" between artist who usually have their own way of doing things.
Lastly, Mongo got the impression this was about Germany but some of the images are of other places including Australia. Either way, nice pics.

Nice. Many scenes from the Alps. Too many? I even notice a photo from Lofoten ;)
-
Excellent pictures Frank, superb frames.

Some good pics here for sure. I gather they are the output from a group of German nature photographers not necessarily from Germany as such, since a number are from Norway or Iceland.
Interesting though that these nature photographers find it necessary to spice up their landscapes with strategically positioned females, or the odd castle. I miss some nice power pylons in the sunset, though.

Very interesting. A high circulation magazine announced the pics as "taken in Germany" ... which obviously is not the case it seems ... a scam?

German Roamers = Happy Wanderers (as per the old German hiking song, that we all learnt at school.)
German scam - no, just poor journalism. The images are well worth a look. Thanks for the link Frank.
-
The front page says "Consortium of explorers showcasing their favorite places of Germany and the rest of the world."
-
Interesting link; nice pictures; thank you; and herewith a nice little 👻 for the abandoned castles ...
-
Sometimes reading helps. From the first sentence of that site: "...showcasing their favorite places of Germany and the rest of the world." ;)
-
Instagram site, so this means images taken with smartphones?

Edit: Thanks Anthony re "and the rest of the world".

After a intense journey through the Italian/Swiss Alps, these are a wonderful collection of images far from a motorway view.
I've got to return the this place in a much more leisure intent mode.

Not in my experience. There are a lot of smartphone photos on Instagram, but, e.g if you look at my account "fotocontext" (which I do not serve very often), most were taken with my standard Nikon tools, later scaled down and edited via Instagram App on my phone.
Also Instagram features a lot of promotional material esp developed by professionals for "social media PR". It is also used as a promotional platform for photographers.
The strength of an image of our member "Martine Henry" here on Nikongear is not reduced by the presentation format.

Frank i am not passing judgment, just curious since i have no smartphone with apps.

Instagram is "another" social media sharing platform. Seems to be frequented a lot these days by photographers, but I do indeed recollect something about Instagram mostly being a platform to share smartphone images and offering fancy graphic "filters" to process the output of smartphones.
Personally I am not registered there, nor do I incline to really. In itself that is a bad decision as the platform is used to find paying customers by quite a few photographers these days.
As far as the images go, yes, places of beauty can be found in Germany. In fact, I will drive over 400km (single leg) to one of the most beautiful places I know of myself. Not sure if I will find a lot of oportunities for photography but I will certainly try.
