Hello,
On my way to Killin I stopped at Glasgow for lunch  ....I only had a couple of hours to spare so no time for considered images.

This was candid but after he spotted me he happily posed   ....we had a chat about music became friends and even had a quick manly hug when saying goodbye.

Midday!

#1  Was old seedy underground commercial units  ...lit by tungsten lamps. I had to press my lens against an iron security fence you can just see (out of focus)

An excellent series of photos that shows the dynamic personality of a city, shot by a great photographer.  Each shot captures the spirit and vibrancy of everyday life.  Great stuff.

So "The Mountain" Bez can shoot, you apparently know how to capture light, are not afraid of deep blacks and know how to capture a story.

Properly enjoying your work sir, eagerly awaiting whats coming from the week in Kilin :)

Hello Jan Anne,
Happy you have found this thread   ....as for killin I just followed all the great photographers around and copied their shots. Mine are all poor imitations of what has already been posted  :)

Sorry you left early for the festival   ....I was lucky to get a seat in Erik's Vito, we would of shot together (looking for shadows).

Cheers

If the Scotland topic shows one thing is that every photog has a different eye, sometimes only slightly different and sometimes completely off the planet ;D ;D

In my head/imagination I remember a couple of unique images. I will have to look at my files and see if I managed to capture/fluke them.
I don't normally rush into editing, but realise I should join in.

Hi Bez,
Very captivating and strong street shots. I think there might be a theme with the wall paintings and how they play with the people in front of them.
This inspires me to hit the streets and try my hand at it (I have tried it before, but my success rate was very low).

And Bez, sometimes luck does play a role. What are the odds: guy in yellow hat walks by street art with yellow feather. Cool.

Some days I go out and get nothing all day  .....no luck!

But it reminds me of the Gary Player quote  ....."the more I practice, the luckier I get”   :)
