Hello,
On my way to Killin I stopped at Glasgow for lunch ....I only had a couple of hours to spare so no time for considered images.

BEZ? You have seen BEZ. Haha. Very cool shots, both of them.
Only question is: Did you have lunch around midnight? Or dies it just look that way?

This was candid but after he spotted me he happily posed ....we had a chat about music became friends and even had a quick manly hug when saying goodbye.

Midday!
#1 Was old seedy underground commercial units ...lit by tungsten lamps. I had to press my lens against an iron security fence you can just see (out of focus)

I would do it in a heartbeat. But you probably know that by now. What a great shot.

No doubting that Ron ....unless the pretty girl across the street distracted you :)

I love Glassgow and I love your take on the city. Wow. Impressed, very much so!

Bez, this is a fine series. I like the second one. What a character!
Also, the last one is great: Zappa and the "mothers"!

The girl pushing the wheelchair has cool shoes, as is the photo with the Zappa background.
How do you get them so black and white?

#6 Yes it is homage to American street photographers ...not my style but done with respect
#7 My eardrums were bleeding to get the shot :)
Very cool series! They really rock ;)
Cheers Erik ...I thought of you in the circle of pipers, it would of been cool for your 6mm.

He he - true ;) A real up-Kilt shot 8)

Bez, saw these on my phone. Really cool images. Love #5 but all are very interesting and well taken.
Thanks for posting.

An excellent series of photos that shows the dynamic personality of a city, shot by a great photographer. Each shot captures the spirit and vibrancy of everyday life. Great stuff.
-
Best serie of shots I've seen for a long time. Congratulations !

Thank you Frank ...I am grateful to the guy for wearing the hat

So "The Mountain" Bez can shoot, you apparently know how to capture light, are not afraid of deep blacks and know how to capture a story.
Properly enjoying your work sir, eagerly awaiting whats coming from the week in Kilin :)

Hello Jan Anne,
Happy you have found this thread ....as for killin I just followed all the great photographers around and copied their shots. Mine are all poor imitations of what has already been posted :)
Sorry you left early for the festival ....I was lucky to get a seat in Erik's Vito, we would of shot together (looking for shadows).
Cheers

You think we leave you off the hook so easily? ...
-
If the Scotland topic shows one thing is that every photog has a different eye, sometimes only slightly different and sometimes completely off the planet ;D ;D

In my head/imagination I remember a couple of unique images. I will have to look at my files and see if I managed to capture/fluke them.
I don't normally rush into editing, but realise I should join in.
Cheers

Great one!
It for sure reminds me off Jeff Noons novel 'vurt', the German title was 'Gelb' (yellow).

I did not know the book so googled ...yes I see!
And Noon is a Mancunian, I must read the book.
Thank you Thomas.

Hi Bez,
Very captivating and strong street shots. I think there might be a theme with the wall paintings and how they play with the people in front of them.
This inspires me to hit the streets and try my hand at it (I have tried it before, but my success rate was very low).

Hello Simone,
Thank you for the kind words ....yes street art can make for an interesting background, but the human element is unpredictable and often difficult to combine.
-
Very refreshing street photography. Thoroughly enjoying this thread! Wonderful photos Bez.
-
The cat image is downright scarey! Well captured.
And Bez, sometimes luck does play a role. What are the odds: guy in yellow hat walks by street art with yellow feather. Cool.

Thank you Andrea .....yes I was very lucky and thank the guy for wearing the yellow hat.
Some days I go out and get nothing all day .....no luck!
But it reminds me of the Gary Player quote ....."the more I practice, the luckier I get” :)
