... not the political embassy, but the real one (IMHO)
The shop downstairs, where I used to buy books from or about Japan (photography, go, literature, haikai, tea cups, etc.) has closed. A pity, that was the only interesting shop near my office. Lots of activities remain, but mostly not of the kind that fits in a busy agenda.
Df, Tamron 90/2.5 (MF) at f/5.6, cropped.

Sad to know that the book shop, a very handy place for cultural interaction and mutual understanding, is closed.
Nevertheless, I like the way you trimmed the logo for the maison. I'm not sure if the transformation of the "red circle" of our national flag into a "red square" is homage to the Paris Commune, though. :)

Thanks Akira. The trimming was the result of various shooting constraints (FL, viewpoint, obstacles such as leaves, street...). I only wanted to isolate the glass material from other surfaces. The idea of "circling the square" (rather than "squaring the circle") did not come to my pragmatic mind.
Indeed, the closing of the bookshop is a loss, to me at least. The corresponding place remained empty since then.

"Red and white" is THE color of our national flag, hence my interpretation. Hope there will be a meaningful replacement of the book shop.
