My name is Edwin and i'm so glad that i found this site.
When i was looking for an old Nikon lens in the past, i always looked for what Björn had to say about the lens.
When i wanted some specific data of a lens I found it at Rolands Nikon pages.
When i found both names here on the forum i knew there must be a nikon soul behind this site.
I have used many Nikon cameras in the past, but nowadays i mostly shoot with an A7.
Reason is the ability to use many old lenses from different companies. Still using and loving my Nikkors and filmcameras from Nikon nevertheless.
I'm not a writer myself, but will enjoy this community
warmest Regards,
Edwin

Welcome, Edwin. We all would love the occasional picture posted here, they tell more than a 1000 words :-)
-
Hi, welcome to Nikon Gear :D You'll find here a quite interesting team !!!
-
We have a great Admin Team but that alone would be like an empty bus with competent drivers.
The site lives by the free spirit of the people posting here.
So YOUR words and pictures will be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to Nikongear. I am a passenger on the bus with some competent driver or some sorts.
-
Welcome Edwin
I usually sleep in the back of the bus. That is also where they keep the food...
no need to write, just show pictures!

hm, technically this is against the forum guidelines. Try to post a picture only and the software rejects it.
A workaround is you post the technicalities: camera, lens, time, aperture, GPS coordinates or the like

I don't think its against any guidelines per se, just a software coding restriction. A simple keystroke such as - should bypass this 'feature' if need be, or linking to a picture instead of uploading it and you should be able to get away without words, if that is the aim.
Welcome, Edwin.

Charlie is correct. The forum software does not allow an empty post. As would arise if an image is attached. However, inserting the image via the IMG tags would work because the post body then is not empty.

Welkom, Edwin. No need for words, pictures are enough

Welcome Edwin, another Dutchman to this forum. :)

Welcome Edwin.
I, too, am new to this forum and site. I also look to Bjørn's lens reviews to decide which to avoid and which to get. For awhile I thought we lost Bjørn to Lyme Desease but apparently he is alive and well and residing within this forum a lot of the time.
I figure that (as you) that any forum with such active members has got to be a good place!

lovely! I guess this would qualify as a Dutch mountain, right?

Welcome Edwin. Very nice Tulips and background.

Welcome to NikonGear ;)

Welcome ! Beautiful tulip image

Hartelijk welkom Edwin. It's nice to see reinforcements to the already considerable amount of Dutchmen gathering here.
I have seen some excellent photographs come from Sony cameras with manual Nikkors mounted on them. The little Sonys are too small for my hands, but their specifications are great and so are the RAW files they can produce. That combined with the short register distance of the mirrorless system sometimes makes me wish I had smaller hands.
-
Welkom Edwin :)
Most of us have a Nikon heart, so do I but this admin also loves shooting with lenses made for other mounts on his Sonys.
On events you might get some jokes flying your way about using a Trinitron and that they are on television when being photographed but it's all in good fun ;D ;D
