This is so off the wall, wonderful.

LOL
I was not expecting that
-
This is awesome on so many levels!
-
Thanks, everyone, for the comments.

One of those images that adds to your own longevity by all the positive reactions it evokes.
-
Why she brought a lamp on a bike remains a mystery, but it sure made a good picture :)
-
A great picture... :-) That Honda bike is a collector item...!
-
Thanks for all of the comments.
I was shooting a charity event sponsored by a group of local bikers. While most of the biker dudes rode big hogs, the guy in the photo was riding this vintage, small Honda. He rolled up to have his picture made and told me that he was waiting for "his old lady and our lucky lamp". At first , I was not sure I heard him right, but a few moments later, she came running up with this lamp in her hand and jumped on the back of the bike. They struck a pose and I got off one shot, which was all I needed. He later told me that she totes "her lamp around with her everywhere. It's her good luck charm"....... 8)

Lucky lamp gives a great picture. Super expression, Rick.

Always great to see people make fun of themselves
-
Rick,
Really really great! I love that he wears short with his prosthetic leg and even adorns it with lots of stickers, especially the Texas one. Can even see the plug for the lamp!

Rick, I agree with all on the image. You have many very good/interesting images on your We'll Meet Again project. Love the bearded Biker with the ice cream cone, the eyes on the Zombie and the Busker couple with the dogs and, well, all of them ;) . You do a great job of spotting, and photographing, the unusual.
Cheers,
Tom

Rick, I very much like the way you captured the joyous interaction between the bikers and you.
-
you set the var quite high rick - I can only echo the comments.
I was just wondering if she couldn't have found a smaller lamp...
-
Excellent technically and for capturing an interesting aspect of life and humor. Well done.

I want to thank everyone for the very kind words. It is appreciated.
I am fortunate to meet so many unusual and interesting people in my day-to-day life. By capturing a single moment of their existence, they have become friends of mine, in a strange sort of way. I am not a religious person at all but I truly believe that I will see them all again, either in this life or another.
Thanks, once again.
