Spent a weekend touring with a client to see the Big 5, quite close to Cape Town.
To get so close to a lion - with no fence between you and the King - is quite something. 240mm on FF at ISO 2500 - light was dipping.
Got charged by a Rhino mommy - and the game vehicle had to make tracks before I could get that one...So I got one where the family was sunbathing instead. This game reserve is not a National Park - so you get up close to everything and are just about guaranteed to see them all.
