Trying my new Samyang 12mm f/2. Not disappointed.
476x20 seconds (nearly 3h), X-T1, ISO 400 f/2.8.
The place is very nice, I used to run there a lot a few years ago but now I live just a bit too far away.
Of course there is too much light pollution near Paris to get really dark skies but I am quite happy with the outcome.
The scene is lit by a quite bright moon in my back.

time to go to bed and not think about the chateau.

Looks nice. The superwide allowed you to include the beautiful arcs of the startrails reflected on the water which seems to have been calm during the exposure.
-
Nice shot but somehow the sky is very dominant,,,
What camera?
-
Perhaps the sky is not *dominant* as such, but surely it is on the bright side for a night scene. Too bright in fact, so a selective darkening would probably make a better impression. Worth a try any way.
Erik: The initial post says [Fuji] XT1.

Nice reflections of the star trails in the water!

Nice shot! Agree with Bjorn that is is a bit on the bright side...

Olivier, you have delivered and presented to us a marvelous image again!
The reflections in the water are special and I like the brighter look of the night image.
Not all night shots should be equally dark or bright :)
Well done!

Thanks everyone.
Indeed, the sky was bright. This was shot uncomfortably close to Paris, so don't expect suitable darkness for astronomy, unfortunately. the moon was high and bright as well (4 days before full moon), further reducing contrast.
I have actually already darkened in PS and have reached a point where I am loosing stars if I push further. There is probably a better way to do it. I tried with curves, black point selection, contrast slider...
I will try again, maybe in the absence of the moon. But then of course I will lose the nice light on the castle and the forest.
Anyway I will go back there as I believe I found a better vantage point (but was already 2 hours into this series and had to get some sleep before another long day at work!)

Wonderful long exposure(s) !

Alone in the dark. Remember the computer game?
Would get a nice creep touch if the sky would be darker with a slight color touch, perhaps violet or lilac, and more contrast, maybe?
