Went on a business trip and I knew I'll have a couple of hours to spare ... planned to bring the V1 ... but forgot until too late
Large room in the Chapultepec castle, Mexico city
3 vertical shots Panorama + 2 exposures for each to capture shadows and highlights ... yeah my mobile camera is not very good
a few stitching errors on the floor
-
I did my first mobile pano with some Sony Ericsson phone back in 2004.I was happy it could do
VGA resolution. We have come a long way from that point.
The shot is super clear technically.
I do not understand the reflection in the floor. Is that a polishing
effect or a water puddle.
Nice Ballroom.
-
Very nicely done.
I assume the effect in the middle of the floor is the window light reflected in the highly polished floor.
-
Hello Frank and Anthony, thanks for commenting, yes the light on the floor is the reflection from the window, I take from your comments it doesn't look natural ?
I did 2 exposures and mixed them in PS , probably should have left the reflection to be brighter ...
... but I'm not doing it again ... I did not saved the file with layers
Here is another image from a double exposure, once more trying to preserve highlights and shadows
-
Thanks, Armando, it does look natural to me, I just did not want to be definitive without having been there.
-
The best camera is the one you carry with you when you run into an opportunity ... :)
Both are decent enough with a little advantage for the first. On the second I would prefer the windows a bit sharper, a bit more in focus.

As you master the phone so well, you do not need the D800 anymore.

hmm...
not even close :)

Mongo is amazed at how good the lighting has ended up from a phone - even though you needed a few exposures !
-
;D ;D ;D

Armando, you have revealed an undeniable potentiality of the current smartphone camera that is good enough to scare many Nikon nerds. :o :o :o

Armando, I am impressed with what you have managed with a smart phone!
I would not have managed to make such images with a D5 :)
