Yup, it is all plastic inside...not convincing. And, repair is a nightmare because the plastic gets statically charged so easily it acts as the worlds most eager dust magnet.

A crappy lens, but it was my workhorse on the D3 anyway.

I shot it to death then sold it for more or less what I paid for it and got the 1.8/50G, which is much better optically.

Currently I am contemplating to buy the 1.4/58G which is from another Planet of build quality. Optically it has a very interesting character, but I am not yet in love with it.
