Nice effect Andrea.  Would make a neat decoration for a place mat.

Old painting effect !

Nice result and very creative, I like it.These flowers look like evening primrose (Onagraceae).

Correct family, but the taxonomists move these species around a lot between genera.

Andrea: in the old film days, I occasionally got slides back with a good fat thumb print on it, or a lab tech had lost the film on the floor and stepped on it. We want more than just scratches. Bad Nik (...).

I find the flowers to look a little bit to clean and digital under the dirty "analog" overlay. I've found it is helpful to remove a some of the sharpness and detail from the underlying file when doing this sort of edit, it helps the two layers blend together which makes the inauthentic look more authentic   ???

Even though it is a simple layover effect, it hits me right now as pleasurable relief from the commonplace mania for digital-fueled hyper clarity.
