Title: Ferryman
Post by: The_Traveler on March 22, 2016, 01:25:51
He is a local farmer who makes extra money by carrying people and goods across the river. He ferried us, one by one, across the river on this loose bamboo raft for about $1.Taken with Sony A7 II and Zeish 24-70 f41/640 f7.1 iso 400

That lens is nice but around 7 seems to be the sweet spot.

The raft does not look very stable

Nice portrait!

The bamboos were lashed together but not rigidly. It was an interesting ride across. The raft flexed and rippled, with water surging up over the individual bamboo but it was fun.
The water buffalo on the far bank watched without a smile but when we landed they snuffled and moved away.

Lew,
Well seen and nicely composed.
An interesting portrait of the man in his environment.
