Title: Beauty is in the eyes
Post by: Mike Wallace on March 18, 2016, 17:29:29
Here is an event shot that I converted into a portrait.  Taken with a Nikon D800E and a 28-70mm 2.8

Mike, the first one is really nice, but it looks like it's a bit over-sharpened.
But don't take my words to seriously because I don't know how to take sharp photos :)

I agree... partly due to the example of the image that I posted.  I couldn't find my final copy.  It was large crop and I had to do a bunch of work on her thumb that she had crunched breaking her nail apart  As I recall, I added extra clarity to help cover up some of the defects in the image. (I know it sounds rather counter productive.) Over sharpening is something that I have a hard time with >>>I am so looking forward to getting cataract surgery next month.  >>I know it is an excuse, but heck, I'll use it...LOL!

Love your work and  I do appreciate and take to heart all of your advice and words. >>>And I just like to make excuses...Hahahahahhaha!  >>>scuse my sense of humor  :)
