Title: Woodbrige Island
Post by: Richard A on February 21, 2016, 08:12:45
Old Mans syndrome means waking up an hour before dawn. On a beautiful day this is a good excuse to kick your own but and get out and shoot something. Woodbridge Island is right in the centre of the city of Cape Town and is a great place to see water birds only meters from the highway.

Thanks for the great images Richard.  I really enjoy the tones and feel of the first image.  I love the depth, lighting, tone and subjects of the third.  Both are stand out shots.  What lens did you use for the third shot, and at what aperature if you don't mind me asking?

Hi Tristin and thanks. All the images were shot using a D7100 with the new Nikkor 200-500mm. Very long at times when using a crop body but sometimes fun to have to work with what you have.

I'm sure that isn't always easy, but undoubtedly a good photographic exercise.

My favorite is the reflection of the bridge. It looks like a painting.

Sweetheart - you only like it because it's out of focus  ;D ;D ;D
