Impressive series Tristin.    Full open is a bit too dreamy perhaps in this set-up.   ;)

Colors in the second one and the details are very well balanced. I find that the best.

Tristin, these are beautiful!

Thanks for the compliments all.

John, the 105mm f/1.8 doesn't really suffer in contrast or get dreamy with the closeup lenses unless opened to f/2.8 or wider.  That was my decision in PP for these, as these are all at f/4 or narrower.

Bruno, you never realize how hairy many plants until you start taking macros of them!

Btw, anyone know what causes the artifact in the lower left corner of the first image.  With the blades of glass silhouettes cut out of the aperature bokeh?  I quite like it!

That's pretty good, F/4 with two close-up lenses. What was the working (focus) distance with the two? Close to 15cm?

The working distance with both the 6T and 5T is roughly 16.5cm-21.5cm.

The contrast at f/4 is a tad bit lower, nothing Inwould be concerned about.  It returns full force at f/5.6.

I love 2 & 4 because you fill the frame in such a sensible way that it seems like telling a story to me.

The opposite is what I dislike most about pictures, my own included: If all the elements do not fit together, do not tell a story.

Thank you.
